For the FIRST time in over 10 years, 1200s.com has implemented a price increase on a portion of it's products, particularly parts. This is the state of the economy, with manufacturer's across the board increasing their prices from as little as 2% to as high as 30% - The increase in transportation costs, newly implemented tax tariffs on international shipments, and assorted political factors, have forced us to increase our prices from 2%-5% on the majority of our parts, and a portion of our DJ & Pro Audio Equipment.

We've held off as long as possible to implement these price increases, but we cannot fight the forces of the economy any further. These increases are happening every where. Many manufacturer's have already increased their prices, and others plan to increase prices within the next 30 days or less.

SHIPPING & FREIGHT:
In addition, UPS, USPS, FEDEX, and DHL have ALL announced increase rates effective immediately, in addition to implementing Fuel surcharges.

WHAT GIVES?
Ok, so now I am going to get POLITICAL. So STOP here if you don't care. If you do care... then read on...

It's the state of our economy, and the irresponsible way in which our Government manages it's finances and asks the Federal Reserve (The FED) to print money as if there were no tomorrow when needed! Where do you think President Bush gets his $3 Billion dollars to finance the Iraqi war. He asks for $3 Billion, Congress approves it, and the Fed prints it. All at a considerable interest rate to the American Citizen. The market is then flooded with more American Dollars, bringing down it's value... This is called INFLATION. Our salaries remain the same, but our buying power is decreased. Essentially, the American Dollar is backed by nothing. It's just paper. Our gold has been depleted. Our assets are in the hands of the Federal Reserve, and used as collateral every time we print money! Leaving nothing left for the American People if and when the economy collapses. Of course there are other factors at play, but this is the ROOT of all the other issues (Oil, Wars, Energy, Interest Rates, Tariffs, etc)
